India Rejtelmei – The Mysteries of India
The Spirit of India – VARAKAM by Siv Sankari Tamil writer, humanist activist
Dr. Péter Hajtó (Ph.D.) Hungarian Orientalist, Indologist interview by Siv Sankari
It is indeed it was a nice occassion for me to meet eminent Tamil writer Shiv Sankari in Madras, today called Chenai.
She has welcomed me by saying on Tamil Varakam and started to speak about the Upanishads and Vedas of India, the importance that in India you do not have to go to a Museum to see your heritage and tradition, it is alive in your daily life even today.
The oldest Tamil manuscript is more than 2500 years old. It is called Tolkapium. The Tamil language, the Tamil culture had been very rich, and it is rich even today. And this could be applied for the whole country, India.
India’s unity is its diversity. The religion, the indianity has been kept alive.
In India the History the heritage of India you can see it as alive in practice.
The type of music, the type of dances, the craft is coming from the thousand years of heritage.
If you go to the smallest village every person can quote from the Great Indian Epic Ramayana, the Holy cripts.
The vedas, the upanishads have no origin, they do not know where these are coming from, may be from the heaven. Nobody knows the dates of those cripts.
The old language of India is the Sanskrit, not a living language today. There are 18 main languages of the country and many dialects.
India is a country, that could enough produce for the whole country.
India has got a wealth, which is there from thousand of years.
India is kept together by the heritage, culture and religion.
Indian women were called by Mahatma Gandhi to participate in the Freedom Fight of India. The role of the women became more important in the Indian society.
The Indian youth has got important role in the development of India.
The Indian Family has got important role to keep together the Indian society.
Before the village was the world. Today the world became a village.
Modernasition of the thinking, the thought is important. Accept the changes, the new.
India may be economically pure, but the heritage, and the spirituallity of the country makes India rich.
The buying power of the country has to be increased.
India has so great of HR resources.
India has the greatest plus that other countries do not have, that is the rich cultural heritage, the lovely seaons through the year, the colorfullness, the fine arts, the prforming arts, some people may think that India has a minus point of the population, no sorry it is not, India has got 40% of the population formed by the youth, which many countries they do not have. If they can be channelised properly then India can really become one of the most powerful, because the roots are from thouand years of history and heritage.
Tamil culture and tradition, the Tamil language is within the huge Indian vedic culture. Shiv Sankari described the development of the Indian society. She says that one of the great advantages of India, that it has got 40% young. It means that India has got a huge HR capacity, which will help India to be among the firsts.
It is important even today the bondage, the role of the Family in the Indian society.
The so called pre-arranged marrige assures that the family ties enlarge the society. The Indian wedding is a great event, it takes sometime a week and brings together all relatives. The Indian families collect money for the wedding during all of their life to host every relative and friend to be together, when a new couple starts their own family life.
I had been a number of visits to Chenai and can assure you that the real India, the culture of the upanishads and vedas start from the South.
Besides importance of the Tamil literature, I would like to call your attention for the importance of the Tamil Cinema. Due to the poverty there is the Cinema in India, that can give learning for the unlitred. The Indian film industry is very huge, I had been visiting most of the Indian Film Industries starting from Mumbai, Chenai, Calcutta, Trivandrum and also Chandigarh.
And really for a foreign visitor the South gives the real feeling of India. The places like Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram to be visited gives the real athmosphere of the thousand years of Indian culture.
If you are there in the Hindu temples, small villages you can really understand the importance of the faith, the living heritage of the country.
The people of India are very nice. Their body, their colors are fantastic.
If you are planning to visit India please make a plan to visit the South of India.
I was blessed in India by Indian Bbrahmins – Brahmin Nataraj Kanchipuram – but also Mother Theresa blessed me, when I had visited her in Calcutta. These blessing help the Europan mind.
India is against the poverty, the most reach spiritual country of the world.
